Hiking holidays in South Tyrol
Time-out & adventures in nature
Hiking in the Passeier Valley offers a fantastic year-round experience of nature, whether surrounded by lush green meadows and forests in summer or glistening white mountains in winter. Our hiking hotels in South Tyrol are the ideal starting point for exploring a range of hiking routes in the South Tyrolean mountains.
We also offer weekly guided hikes and sunrise hikes with our hiking guides Luis and Karl as part of the active fitness programme.
Our hiking tips in the Passeiertal Valley
For leisurely hikes, we recommend the Hirzer area, easily reached by cable car from Saltaus, as well as alpine hut hikes around Pfelders and Lazins, to Ulfas Alm or Egger-Grub-Alm. More active hikers will find challenging routes along the Jaufen ridge, on sections of the Merano High Mountain Trail or on summit hikes to Hirzer, Matatz, Fleckner and Jaufen. At lower elevations, the gorge trail between St. Leonhard and Moos is a great alternative.
