Tip from fitness trainer Luis
he Hirzer area is, in my opinion, one of the best hiking regions in the Passeiertal. Wide panoramic trails, stunning views, and easy access via the Hirzer cable car make it an ideal starting point. From there, you’ll find a great variety of routes – from relaxed alpine walks to more challenging mountain hikes..
My highlights:
- Staffellalm – perfect stop with panoramic views
- Gampenalm – especially dog-friendly
- Grünangerspitze – for those who want to go higher and enjoy a sporty, less crowded summit tour
Helga's Tip
Waking up early is absolutely worth it: the sunrise hike with Karl is a truly special experience and part of our weekly activity program.
Every Tuesday, we set off before sunrise and hike together with Karl to his alpine hut. The silence, the fresh morning air, and the peaceful moments just before the sun appears stay in our guests’ memories for a long time.
Helli’s Tip
The Passeiertal is perfect to explore on two wheels, with plenty of options for relaxed e-bike tours. One place I always love returning to is the Ulfas Alm, which we also visit on guided tours with our guests. Whether on foot, by bike, or even with a stroller, the Ulfas Alm is easily accessible.
It is located along an irrigation channel trail, called the “Matatzer Waalweg”. If you feel like it, you can easily extend the tour along the Waalweg – especially on hot days, making it a refreshing and varied experience for children as well.
Active in the Passeiertal
The Passeiertal offers much more than hiking and e-bike tours. Anyone who enjoys staying active will find plenty of additional ways to experience nature in a sporty and exciting way.
Whether it’s climbing in Stuls, fun and adventure at the Spiderpark in Pfelders, or a relaxing day of fishing in the Passer River – there’s something for everyone.
