Helli Has Shaped the Sauna Infusion Scene at Andreus Since 2009
Helli Haller has been part of Hotel Andreus since it opened in 2009 and has played a key role in shaping its unique sauna infusion (Aufguss) scene. With innovative productions and a great sense of music, fragrances and choreography, he has even become Sauna World Champion more than once. The first event sauna at Andreus set new standards as early as 2010. Today, the modern Dome Event Sauna provides an impressive stage for rituals and shows that go far beyond traditional sauna bathing.
The Sauna Infusion – From an Idea to a Hot Attraction
Sauna infusions such as “Africa” and “Temple of Fire” begin long before the first infusion takes place in the sauna. Creating a harmonious combination of theme, music, sounds, fragrances, sauna essences, lighting effects and fan choreography requires creativity, experience and intensive preparation. The sauna team often finds inspiration in nature. Sometimes a particular fragrance, a piece of music or even a relaxed evening watching television is enough to spark a new idea. The team then selects suitable essences that evoke memories, calm the senses or invigorate the body and mind. Music is equally important: it sets the rhythm of the entire sauna ritual and often requires hours of research.
“I know how a composer must feel when presenting a new piece of music for the first time,” says Helli. “I feel exactly the same when I perform a new sauna ritual for our guests for the first time.”
An Award-Winning Andreus Sauna Team
The passion for exceptional sauna infusions is shared by the entire Andreus team. Sarah became Italian Champion in 2024 and 2025 and, together with Julia, Michael, Peter, Luis and Lydia, represents outstanding expertise, creative ideas and precise fan techniques. Each team member is a master of their craft and brings their own individual style to traditional and modern sauna infusions, rituals and show infusions. Every day, they create new experiences that make Andreus a recommended destination for wellness and sauna in South Tyrol.
Daily Sauna Infusions at the Andreus Resorts
At Hotel Andreus, guests can enjoy up to five sauna infusions every day. Depending on the daily programme, the Golf Lodge offers two to three infusions, while the Sonnenalm offers two. The programme ranges from traditional and modern infusions to relaxing rituals and elaborately staged show infusions. Music, fragrances, lighting and fan techniques are carefully coordinated to create a unique overall experience.
Why a Show Infusion Makes the Heat Easier to Experience
A show infusion is like a short theatre performance inside the sauna: a story, carefully selected music, choreographed fan movements, fragrances and lighting effects come together to create an immersive experience. Your attention is focused on the performance, time seems to pass more quickly and the intense heat is often perceived as more pleasant and easier to tolerate. In this way, a sauna infusion combines entertainment with mindful periods of relaxation for a truly holistic wellness experience.
Relaxed Sauna Sessions – Even Without an Infusion
Guests who prefer not to attend a sauna infusion will find numerous other saunas in the sauna areas of the individual hotels (Andreus, Golf Lodge and Sonnenalm), offering different temperatures and atmospheres. These provide a peaceful setting for sweating, relaxing and recharging your energy. The sauna world is therefore suitable for experienced sauna guests as well as anyone who prefers to enjoy heat gently and at their own pace – whether during a wellness holiday or a Day Spa in South Tyrol.
